Inspiration

I have been in a lull lately, but recently came across a website http://www.knock-offwood.com/. Anna White has truly inspired me. I am going to attempt to make my first piece of homemade furniture. I absolutely love all of her plans. So anyway, here is what I am attempting. I will post pictures as the progress is made. I am going to use it as an entertainment stand for my daughter's bedroom. She wanted this instead of your traditional entertainment stand.

Cakes Are Done

Well, I finished my nephews cake, he absolutely loved it! SO here it is, with hand drawn graffix and all. I of course couldn't make my nephew a cake and not my niece since they were having their party together, of course Katie got one of her own.

I think they turned out super cute and they both adored them!

New Challenge

So I have been busy with life and haven't had a chance to post, hopefully I try to do a little better in the future~

Anyway, my nephew's birthday is Saturday and he wants me to make a skateboard cake. That is going to be a challenge, I will post pictures when I am done. I hope it turns out, he is super excited about it and since he has to share his birthday with his little sister this is the one thing that is going to be only his!

New Year! New Goals

So this year has been really slow. 2010 is where its at! I have already set many personal goals and have even made a list of things I want to accomplish in 2010. Hopefully I can perservere and make 2010 everything I wanted 2009 to be!

Christmas Cards

So even with the hectic schedule for National Novel Writing Month, I still managed to whip up some cute Christmas Cards. I think they all turned out rather cute!

NaNoWrMo - I did it

Well, I did it! 50,000 words in 30 days. Another one of my things on my to do list complete. Now just to edit away! I am so proud of myself for this accomplishment. Who knows, maybe this is my calling.

Update

Ok, so the cauliflower dish WAS NOT a success, that's what I get for not trying the recipe first, I would suggest definitely adding cheese sauce, then it would be good. The wedding cake turned out okay for my first one ever, by the bottom layer I figured it out. Not bad for a free wedding cake - so the bride loved it of course. Now I know what mistakes I made and what to fix next. I will be starting to make some Halloween SVG cut files soon, stay tuned for freebies! Anyway, here is a picture of the cake.
